SRT Masterclass: Intensives for Attachment Repair

Join Dr. Reggie Melrose for an advanced masterclass designed exclusively for SRT Practitioners, exploring the use of SRT Intensives as a powerful container for healing breaches of attachment.

Our earliest experiences of connection shape the nervous system’s expectations of relationship – whether others will be available, whether our needs can be safely expressed, and whether we can remain connected to ourselves while in connection with another. When attachment has been disrupted, these patterns can continue to emerge in the body, nervous system, and therapeutic relationship.

SRT Intensives offer practitioners the time, continuity, and relational space to work with these patterns in ways that may not be possible within the limits of a traditional session.

In this masterclass, Dr. Reggie will explore how to structure and facilitate Intensives while maintaining the safety, attunement, and responsiveness at the heart of SRT. Practitioners will deepen their understanding of how attachment breaches show up in the nervous system and learn how the therapeutic relationship itself can become an important part of repair.

The masterclass will explore:

• Understanding Breaches of Attachment: Recognizing how disruptions in early connection can shape nervous-system patterns, relationships, and a client’s capacity to self-regulate.
• Creating the Intensive Container: How to structure SRT Intensives in a way that provides sufficient time, safety, pacing, and continuity for deeper work.
• Working with Attachment in the Present Moment: Identifying attachment patterns as they emerge within the session and responding through attunement, regulation, and embodied support.
• Repair Through Relationship: Exploring how experiences of being seen, supported, responded to, and remained with can provide opportunities for new relational experiences.
• Navigating Rupture and Repair: Working skillfully with moments of disconnection, misattunement, withdrawal, or activation that arise between practitioner and client.
• Integration and Completion: Supporting clients as they move out of an intensive experience and helping new patterns of regulation and connection carry into everyday life.

This masterclass is an opportunity to deepen both the relational and spiritual dimensions of SRT – teaching how to offer longer intentionally playful experiences, giving the nervous system the time and space it needs to encounter, explore, and reorganize deeply held patterns of attachment.
